Collection of Information

In order to use the Australis Engineering website, we may require information from you in order to provide the best service possible. All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support and accounts, including email. Any information collected by Australis Engineering is collected via correspondence from you or your company. This may be via the telephone, Email, mail, fax or directly through our website.

Use of Collection Information

Any details collected from Australis Engineering's customers are required in order to provide you with our products and/or services, and a high level of customer service. Correspondence may be recorded in order to provide service references, and to assist in our staff development. Except for the purposes of validating a sale or for debt recovery, Australis Engineering will never pass on your information to any third party.

Storage of Collected Information

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). When Credit Card details are collected, we simply pass them on in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete Credit Card details. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

Access to Collected Information

If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by emailing us at enquiries@australiseng.com.au 

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from us, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information (such as Company Name, Contact person name, telephone, facsimile and mobile phone numbers, email address, your website, your delivery address and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).

We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you. 

Communications

Australis Engineering uses personally identifiable information for essential communications, such as emails, accounts information, and critical service details. We may also use this information for other purposes, including some promotional emails. If at any time a customer wishes not to receive such correspondence, they can request to be removed from any mailing lists by emailing our Customer Service Department at enquiries@australiseng.com.au

You will be notified if your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

Third Parties

Australis Engineering may at its discretion use other third parties to provide essential services on our site or for our business processes. We may share your details as necessary for the third party to provide that service. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose. Australis Engineering does not share any information with third parties for any unknown or unrelated uses.

Legal

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Website.

Security Policy

Australis uses the eWAY Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. eWAY processes online

credit card transactions for thousands of Australian merchants, providing a safe and secure means of

collecting payments via the Internet.

All online credit card transactions performed on this site using the eWAY gateway are secured payments.

  • Payments are fully automated with an immediate response.
  • Your complete credit card number cannot be viewed by Australis Engineering or any outside party.
  • All transactions are performed under 128 Bit SSL Certificate.
  • All transaction data is encrypted for storage within eWAY's bank-grade data centre, further protecting your credit card data.
  • eWAY is an authorised third party processor for all the major Australian banks.
  • eWAY at no time touches your funds; all monies are directly transferred from your credit card to the merchant account held by Australis Engineering.

Pricing and GST

Prices are firm and fixed according to your written quote or the prices published on this website. All of our prices are quoted in Australian dollars only ($AUD). All prices are quoted ex-Works.

All online purchases incur a 5% handling and administration fee.

Payments must be made in $AUD only. If you are ordering from outside Australia and require further information about making payment in $AUD please contact our Customer Service Department on +61 2 9707 5888 or via email at enquiries@australiseng.com.au

All prices are ex-GST. If you are purchasing from outside of Australia, Australian GST does not apply. However you may be subject to import and other taxes in your own country of origin. Australis is not liable for any importation taxes, duties or similar payments in your country of origin.

Upon confirming your payment, Australis Engineering will issue you with a Tax Invoice. Please retain this Tax Invoice for Warranty, Returns or Refund purposes. Australis will not re-issue a Tax Invoice.

Payment Policy

Payments can be made online using a Credit Card or via PayPal. A credit card payment premium may apply.

Please note if you are paying EFT, Australis will not dispatch your goods until payment has cleared in full.

Shipping/ Delivery Policy

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details. We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering.

The Purchaser will be liable for all shipping costs and these will be applied at check-out. Australis uses flat rate shipping costs that are dependent on the product type and the delivery address. Standard shipping and Express shipping options are available.

Delivery timeframes

We will endeavour to ship your products at the earliest possible opportunity; however as a guide, and provided the order items are in-stock, the following delivery timeframes should apply:

  1. un-cut aluminium profile and accessories, Protect-Air/ HoseGuard, SicoMat and Jokab Safety Equipment - 2 business days from cleared payment

  2. customised/ pre-cut aluminium profile and SicoMat air lines - 3 to 5 business days from cleared payment

  3. Rollers for conveyors - 5 to 7 business days from cleared payment

  4. Complete Conveyor Systems - dependent upon total conveyor length. Rule of thumb for standard, straight run: - aluminium conveyors is a minimum of 10 business days; mild and stainless steel conveyors allow a minimum of 15 business days. Note these estimates may be further affected by your choice of motor, VSD, safety controls, conveyor belt, roller or chain type. Please confirm delivery time frames prior to order placement.

  5. Linear Actuators and Linear Guides - 7 to 10 business days from cleared payment

  6. Palletisers (MLP series) - 10 to 12 weeks from cleared payment. Note, some MLP components have very long lead times, so please confirm delivery times prior to order placement.

Australis will use our best endeavours to dispatch your goods via our nominated courier or freight provider as per the above, however if goods are unavailable, delivery may take a little longer and we ask for your understanding and patience in the rare cases where this may occur. Should delivery be substantially delayed, a team member will contact you at the earliest opportunity to discuss the situation.

While we make all reasonable efforts to ensure our online available stock quantities are up to date, occasionally circumstances may arise where we sell out of some items. In these cases please understand at as Australis acts as an agent for International suppliers there may be longer lead times for delivery of some items. In the rare cases where this may occur, Australis will inform you at the earliest opportunity.

  • Delivery timeframes may change from time to time due to unforseen circumstances. We will endeavour to provide the most up-to-date information for your order or contact you if circumstances change. Please ensure your contact details are up to date. Shipping/ Transit Insurance Policy

Australis Engineering accepts no liability or responsibility for the insurance of the goods which remains the Purchaser's sole responsibility. Australis Engineering is not liable for any loss or damage, including any consequential losses for the failure of the Purchaser to adequately insure the goods. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to arrange such insurance as it sees fit to cover all or any of the above items of this agreement/ conditions or any other risks. Australis Engineering shall be under no responsibility whatsoever to see that such insurance has been effected.

Pick-up Policy

We gladly permit our customers to pick-up your goods from our premises at:

Loading dock hours of operation are: 7:30AM to 3:00PM Monday to Thursday and 7:30AM to 12:00PM Friday only. Pick-up outside of these hours is by written confirmation only. Please email our Customer Service Department at enquiries@australiseng.com.au

For all Pick-Ups, the Purchaser will assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged of goods during transit and we therefore advise you take out shipping insurance prior to pick-up. Australis Engineering will not be responsible for parcels or goods that are lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Important note:  Full, un-cut lengths of aluminium profile or similar goods are over 6.00 metres in length. By-law we cannot load these items to your vehicle unless the collection vehicle can safely carry these items. 6.00 metre lengths cannot be safely loaded onto any standard ute or van. Australis accepts no liability or responsibilty for self-transport by the buyer.

Returns and Order Cancellations Policy

Returns and Cancellations are not available for any customised work or special orders. Customised work and special orders include any aluminium profile or compressed air/gas line that has been cut to size to meet your requirements; and any specially imported goods.

Australis Engineering will gladly offer a refund for any purchases that are not fit for purpose or are defective upon delivery (provided the damage/ defect is not caused in transit to the Purchaser or by incorrect installation or use of the product by the Purchaser). For more information please refer to the section on Shipping/ Transit Insurance Policy above.

Australis Engineering reserves the right to refuse a refund where the Purchaser has simply changed their mind. These refunds will ONLY be considered if the goods are returned in their original, unopened packaging or are in original and merchantable condition.

This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been installed, cut, modified, used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product, or if they have been scratched, dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition. All handling & administration, postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer.

We recommend that you return the product via Registered Post or Courier and that you pre-pay all postage.

The Purchaser will assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit of returned goods, and we therefore advise you take out shipment registration and insurance with your shipping provider. Australis will not be responsible for parcels or goods that are lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Order Cancellations are only possible within 1-business day of placing your order and only for standard products. Cancellations for custom work/ special order will not normally be permitted. Australis reserves the right to refuse an Order Cancellation for all custom work and special orders and will only consider an Order Cancellation if the goods to be supplied have not yet been customised or that our supplier has not already accepted the order.

A restocking fee of 7% of the order value, or AUD$35.00, which ever is the greater, applies to all Order Cancellations.

Warranty

The Purchaser of any parts, materials or goods supplied by Australis Engineering agrees to accept the following warranty conditions as part of our Conditions of Sale:

Australis Engineering Pty Ltd (Australis Engineering) warrants that our goods and materials will be fit for intended purpose and free from defects due to faulty workmanship or materials for a period of 12-months from the date of delivery of our

goods and materials subject to the following conditions:

  1. Our 12 months warranty period applies to goods being used on a single working shift per day only. If the goods are being used on multiple shifts on any days our warranty period is reduced to six months.

  2. Where another Company, Sub-Contractor or Entity supplies manufactured parts or services to Australis Engineering that form part of the goods or the materials supplied to you, then the Third-Party company's warranty conditions will apply for the parts or services that they have supplied.   3. Our warranty does not cover any defect caused by operator error, incorrect installation on the part of the Purchaser, or the Purchaser's mistreatment of the goods.

  4. Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of goods or materials supplied to the Purchaser.

  5. If in the opinion of Australis Engineering, the goods has not been properly maintained and the incorrect or lack of maintenance has caused a defect, our warranty will not cover the defect.

  6. If the goods has been modified by the Purchaser without authorisation from Australis Engineering our warranty responsibilities will cease.

  7. Should the goods not perform satisfactorily due to non-disclosure by the Purchaser of all relevant operating variables, parameters and product characteristics, then any modifications required to achieve satisfactory performance will be charged to the customer at our normal workshop or site rates.

  8. A warranty claim will not be accepted if the goods have not been installed by Australis Engineering and the defect has occurred as a result of faulty installation.

  9. Where practical the faulty goods must be sent at the Purchaser's expense to Australis Engineering for inspection and repair. If it is not practical to return the goods for repair then Australis Engineering must agree that the defect is due to faulty workmanship or materials prior to accepting responsibility for the fault. Photographic or video evidence of the fault may be required.

  10. If the goods are returned, our warranty does not cover any labour costs associated with the dismantling or reassembly of the goods on the Purchaser's site.

  11. Our warranty does not cover any costs for freight, taxes, duties or similar for any replaced or returned goods.

  12. If responsibility for a fault is accepted, Australis Engineering will at its discretion;

  13. If it is agreed to attend the Customer's site to repair the faulty goods, this will be done as soon as possible during normal working hours which are: 7.00 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7.00 am to 1.00 pm Friday.

  14. If the Customer's site is outside of the Sydney Metropolitan area, the additional cost of attending the Customer's site will be charged to the Customer. The additional costs may include all or some of the following: Travelling time, motor vehicle expenses, accommodation, air-fares, travel costs & allowances.

  15. If the Purchaser requires that a service call be undertaken outside the above listed normal working hours, then the Purchaser must pay the difference between our normal time labour rates and overtime labour rates for all the overtime work.

  16. When a warranty call has been arranged, the Purchaser agrees that the goods will be available and ready to be serviced at the appointed time.

  17. If the goods is not ready to be serviced due to no fault of Australis Engineering, then the Purchaser must pay Australis Engineering for costs incurred for our personnel to stand by or call back at an alternate time.

  18. All warranty service calls will cease to be free of charge once the fault has been repaired and Australis Engineering's personnel are satisfied that the goods are working correctly; or the goods have been satisfactorily repaired.

  19. Should the Purchaser request our personnel to continue monitoring the goods after being advised that the repairs have been reasonably completed; the Purchaser must pay for the additional costs incurred by Australis Engineering for our personnel to stay on site as requested. The additional costs may include all or some of the following: labour, accommodation, air-fares, travel costs and allowances.

  20. If Australis Engineering attends a warranty call and it is found that the problem is the fault of others, the Purchaser must pay for all the costs incurred by Australis personnel to attend your site.

  21. Except as provided for in NSW State Law, Australis Engineering Pty Ltd shall under no circumstances be liable for any consequential loss to any party arising from any fault in the goods or failure of the goods to perform.

  22. No variation of any of the terms contained herein shall be of any force or effect unless agreed to in writing and signed by both parties.
